How to Solve Entire Biology NEET Paper of 90 Questions in Just 15 Minutes

Introduction

Dear Students and Readers,

When I tell you that it is very possible that a student can solve all the questions of Biology of NEET-UG in just 15 minutes and that too with maximum accuracy, many students find it difficult to believe. Some may feel it is just another publicity stunt by a teacher or a reputed coaching institute.

However, this belief is based on experience, not exaggeration.

Why This Claim Is Not a Publicity Stunt

Well, I have been teaching students Biology for the last 25 years and I have been able to transpire this idea of mine to many students who could easily cross the 340/360 marks in Biology, irrespective of the degree of difficulty of the paper.

It has been achieved in many different types of exams like NEET, KVPY-SA code, KVPY-SX code, Olympiads, and School Boards like CBSE and ICSE.

The Ultimate Way to Achieve This Speed and Accuracy

Then how do we do it; it is no trade secret.
It is the ULTIMATE WAY practiced all these years by good teachers.

It involves the following steps:

Step-1: Proper Coverage of the Topic

Proper coverage of the topic with elaborate discussions with the teachers and friends in the class.

This step forms the base of speed and accuracy in Biology.

Step-2: Practice Subjective and Objective Questions

Practice Subjective as well as Objective questions for the topic.

While practicing Subjective questions, answer the same question for:

  • 1 Mark
  • 2 Mark
  • 3 Mark
  • 5 Marks

This builds depth and flexibility of understanding.

Step-3: Practice MCQs in Levels

Level-1: NCERT Level MCQs

Practice NCERT level MCQs from publications like:

  • Cengage
  • Disha
  • Oswal

Level-2: Coaching Level MCQs

Practice questions from different top-level coaching centers available in your city.

Level-3: Competitive Exam Level MCQs

Practice questions from:

  • NEET
  • AIIMS
  • BHU
  • OJEE
  • KVPY
  • NSEB

Also, practice Assertion-Reason questions.

Three Ways of Solving an MCQ (Very Important)

Kindly note that there are 3 ways of solving a question:

  1. Find the answer you have in your mind in the given options – BEST WAY
  2. Eliminate the options that cannot be the answer – 50-50 way
  3. Try to create an answer from the given options – WORST WAY

While answering easy MCQs, try to solve them ASAP (within 10–15 seconds).

Mandatory Time Fixation

Always fix time for the number of questions:

  • Biology: 50 Questions / 10 Minutes
  • Chemistry: 50 Questions / 40 Minutes
  • Physics: 50 Questions / 45 Minutes

Step-4: Create Your Own Questions

Create questions (especially MCQs) from the topic.

Step-5: Full-Length Testing

Give tests of:

  • 180 Questions / 3 Hours
